Here's why I am going with NO on your idea of why there has been no official announcement: when the world is on fire, NO ONE is keeping secrets as to how to put that fire out. Hell, most people cannot keep a secret for more than 3 minutes, you think a drug saving lives can be kept under wraps like that? Word is spreading, and it appears to be spreading quickly. Doctors talk to doctors...nurses talk to nurses...the snowball is quickly gaining size and speed and it rolls downhill.
