This is a very early stage. Please don't raise false expectations.
There's NO way of knowing from these lab tests whether this works in animals or humans. It will be a fantastic first step if this appears to show efficacy. It will get the drug fast-tracked for clinical trials. But it is NOT news like that about the anti-malarials, because the truly evil and disgusting shorts and bashers managed to slow down approval of Brilacidin.
If Brilacidin had been approved after a Phase 3 trial for some other use, then in that case indeed they could start using it on a compassionate-use basis now. But because of the actions of the shorts, the company moved it ahead as fast as they could with limited funds, but not nearly as fast as they could have had the company not been attacked by criminals.
Remember how I keep saying that these awful selfish sociopaths have killed people through their actions? Well, this is a more dramatic demonstration of that than even I expected.
