We were prime for change with TV starting to change from 3 stations to 5 and with Elvis and a few other hitting the scenes. Spunik 1 scare, trying to hide under our school desk? So, screw the Duke of Earl song" but the transister radio was on the scene, at least someone had the radio in town. Then with Nikita Khrushchev - Russia and all the B-52 flying to Cuba. Then the JFK Assassination....You bet we were ready for change and The Beatles got all us cranked up and ready to break the mode our parents tried to mode us to. Sorry Mom and Dad I'm breaking the mode my way. John was first to put the screwing to the Beatles with the GOD comment but the boys each had there own destiny to follow...but they never got as big as some of the other groups given the same time element.
