I don't know how long this 'feud' has been going on, but it appears that TECO Longs have won. There appears to be very little TECO 'bashing' and very few Treaty Bears here. The Longs have ran them off or overpowered them. So, Congratulations.
Bashing can be done many reasons. Sometimes it is driven by greed. Sometimes it is driven by concern, anger etc. Often, stocks are bashed by former longs who are accustomed to frequent posting & have followed the security in question for months or years, and who became more & more educated along the way & realized that the particular security is not what they once thought it was.
There is very little short interest in TECO (if any), so that is clearly not what is driving any bashing.
Bashing is not always bad either. For example, had TECO longs heeded the advice of bashers back in June/July of last year, they could have sold at a 300 to 400% premium to what TECO trades for today.
Should TECO shareholders read this post & sell now? Probably not - the way the chart is shaping up, there might be a chance to sell in the next few months for a 50 to 100% premium of today's price (assuming that TECO can deliver on the right catalysts to move the stock). However, the more I look into this opportunity (TECO) the more & more certain I feel that TECO will never break the barrier into being profitable - just too many hurdles for even a team of seasoned Oilfield Executives to overcome, and please advise me if I'm wrong, but I'm getting the impression that TECO Executives are not from the oilfield? I have not researched them too deeply (or at all), but their decisions making and some 8Ks I dug up suggest that they are new to this industry.
What is important to me, as an investor, is the truth. Sometimes it comes from Honest Longs, sometimes from Honest Bashers. However the truth rarely comes from Longs or Bashers who have an agenda (promoters, pumpers &/or shorts).
