Without insurance coverage - $34,00-$73,000 with complications.
Per Kasier Family Foundation; for someone with employer insurance and without complications $9,763 and with complications may see bills upward of $20,292. Average deductible (out of pocket costs) for single person was $1,655. A bronze plan deductible was $5,861.
Then there’s always those lab tests $$$ that are “out-of-network” even if the doctor treating you is in your network.
Ya think there’s not someone lobbying, to protect that income and stop some new low cost test from being approved? Uh, ya think?
If the info above was widely known, I'm guessing aside from risking death, those costs might open eyes wide.
