Long Post for Investors (redflix S6E13) xc3VG9J
Post# of 32642
Keep in mind, redflix is going for a triple double this season
Just one dude documenting our journey
Our journey, not mine, Ours
I started two companies
My only regret was not documenting them
Third time is a charm
Not everyone knows the journey, red
That's alright...
That's alright...
Fortunate to have those around me to help set true North
What does that mean red?
It means for those around you, help them see true North
If you been dealt a good hand in life
Pay it forward
I can tell you so many ways it means, but let it rip...
It means buckle your mf'n seatbelt, Dorothy, 'cause Kansas is going bye-bye.
Will everyone get it at first?
No
But what direction would you go?
How long before you get it?
Posted this before if you remember...
Freddie Mercury in 1981
"You remember this..."
Freddie: "They don't know it"
Brian: "That's alright..."
What I didn't post is Freddie Mercury at Wembley in '86
Five year later
Brian still playing the 12 stringer
Freddie, more confident than ever...
Success breed confidence
Together...
We learn from every experience
This is how we grow
Hard choices with redflix
Which song do you pause?
In the early days, I used to write them so you could play all at once
Sounds crazy, eh
But you could
Man that was too time consuming to layer them
You know, I work 10 hours a day...
Let's go up beat
I feel great about this week...
Technical difficulties?
Yeah a lot of online video tools have difficulties
I see it everyday as my supplier and vendors use 'those tools'
In the PR this is the second time VERB mentioned it
No one brought it up
Was thinking long and hard on this one
Actually not long or hard
Many problems are solved in your dreams
Freddie: "Did he just go there?"
Brian: "That's alright...Give red 5 more years"
Freddie: "11 Seasons... Really?"
Didn't want to misinterpret the algorithms part anyway
But let's talk first about "Technical difficulties"
I'm on calls every day and people have "Technical difficulties"
Not only do those "Technical difficulties" interrupt the call that cost $$$
But add to the help desk that cost $$$
But wait, there is more...
I knew they didn't throw the 'algorithms' in there for the 'heck' of it
"Historically, there have been some barriers to live shopping in the form of changing algorithms and technical difficulties that exist in most popular livestream apps. Verb Live mitigates these barriers and makes for a seamless and engaging retail experience."
If you are invested in VERB, you might want to do just a tiny weeny bit of DD on this one as you may be rewarded
I'll help you get started...
In my spare time...
Facebook Live was launched in 2016
"Thanks Red, brilliant start!"
Brian? They are starting on me
Brian: "That's alright...red"
But wait, there is so much more
I find all my DD on google
Just a search box away
Oh, BTW, all my post have links to help you base your investment decisions on your own DD
Let's for once go really deep on this one
Let's go blue water deep
Facebook Live was launched in 2016 is true
If you want a link, let me know
But, but, but not as a online LIVE selling tool
This was from Nov.15, 2017 in Wired
Facebook Live Is the New QVC
Facebook Live may have found its ultimate purpose as a social sales tool. That is, if Facebook doesn't put a stop to it.
https://www.wired.com/story/facebook-live-qvc-pearl-parties/
What? Red posting another link?
If Facebook doesn't put a stop to it?
What?
Red posting links or Facebook stopping online selling?
So confused
Yup, that's right
Facebook isn't an online LIVE selling tool
Redflix isn't an online LIVE selling tool
Facebook and Redflix isn't an online LIVE selling tool
Not clear to me they even want people to do that but a LOT of people do
Facebook could change their 1000 lines of code or algorithms and put an end to it
Facebook certainly hasn't made it easy for sellers to sell online
You know why they haven't made it easy?
Facebook isn't an online LIVE selling tool
And maybe they don't want to be
If they did, they would make it easy
"Despite this growing sector, Facebook hasn’t made ecommerce easy. The company hasn’t developed tools for Live users to streamline the commerce process , so Reeves, like many of her competitors, maintains her live, unedited video feed, while filling orders that trickle in via comments during broadcast. Transactions take place outside of Facebook, which often means directing clients to hacked systems of personal websites, Shopify pages, and PayPal invoice systems. Despite their burgeoning empires, sellers like Reeves often find themselves cobbling together the basic information they can squeeze out of Facebook to analyze their customer base and viewer demographics."
Whoa!
If they did, it would cost them a bundle
Double Whoa!
Facebook had years to make it easy and they don't want to?
Why wouldn't they want to?
Maybe they like their Facebook Marketplace better?
This is no knock on MomBook nor knock on Moms.
For those that don't know, Facebook Marketplace is the Craigslist competitor
One that they make plenty of money off of ads
But wait, there is more
I mean, more ways Facebook makes money
"How do I get paid for something I sold with Marketplace checkout?"
"You'll be paid 15-20 days after you mark the item as shipped and enter a tracking number. The selling fee of 5% (or $0.40 minimum per order) is deducted from the payout."
5%???
Are you kidding me?
And I don't get paid for 15-20 days?
https://www.facebook.com/help/449101635835192/
What are you doing?
Handwriting me a frigg'n check?
Facebook holding 100% of the transaction for 15-20% adds up to a lot of money
Bet it's not sitting idle in a bank account
But keep in mind that is Facebook Marketplace
Not Facebook Live sellers with their hack workarounds that could end at anytime
If Facebook could figure out how to make 5% on those users they might be all over it
But would those LIVE users give away 5%?
I'm thinking not
Have any investors looked at how exactly you sell on Facebook yet?
I did last year
To put it simply
It's horrible
But LIVE sellers don't have a lot of options, so they do what they gotta do
You can read here and watch the video
https://blog.be.live/facook-live-sales-clothes/
Put a number on all the stuff your selling and then people in the chat say what number they want. If you are working by yourself, record it all so you can then go back and match up the number with the person that said they are buying.
THEN figure out how they can pay you before they changed their mind
How many people change their mind in between the heat of the moment and later? I don't know, but people do...
But you could always skip the LIVE part of you were a seller and just create a website on Shopify
Shopify Basic costs $29 per month, with 2.9% + 30¢ per online transaction. The main Shopify plan costs $79 per month, with 2.6% + 30¢ per transaction. Advanced Shopify costs $299 per month, with 2.4% + 30¢ per transaction
Oh, you mean I would give up the LIVE part and not only do I have to pay a monthly fee, I'd they also take a percentage cut?
Forget that, maybe Zoom would be better?
Oh, wait a second
I'd be back to square one
A tool that isn't integrated into any payment and someone throwing "I'll buy #1000" in the chat window
Shopify
Mkt cap 48.23B
Zoom
Mkt cap 39.63B
Mkt cap 437.43B
With all that dough you would think maybe one of them or all 3 could get together and build a tool that was a "blend of entertainment and e-commerce that allows retailers to utilize live video streams to market and sell their products in real time."
Nevermind, VERB is doing it
Can't be touched
Can't be stopped
Can't be moved
Can't be rocked
Can't be shook
We hot
When when you make us learn?
One my left hand, I can't count the life mistakes I made
One my right hand, I can count the investment mistakes I made
On my left foot I can count the ones that tried to take my life and my kids, literally
You want to know what motivates me, it's the latter
On my right foot, yeah that foot, is the only reason why I am still here, that right foot saved my life
We stand up, we rise up, we put our best foot forward
You figure out what foot
You figure out the cause
Got no patience for apathy or spring breakers
