Risk of sudden death due to arrhythmia from drug interactions between chloroquine and azithromycin. I posted about it earlier today.
If your choice is definitely dying from the virus, or maybe having a heart attack or maybe dying from the medications, people will take the medications.
Hopefully it will save some lives.
But we need safer medicines, which hopefully they will find.
This is why we need to self-isolate -- to try to buy time before too many people are infected and overwhelm the hospitals. If we can reduce the number of patients now, maybe we can develop treatments to keep people from getting so sick that they need to be hospitalized.
That's why it angers me so much to see those idiots who say "I'm going to get it anyway, so why shouldn't I have my spring break?"
