I know what a soundbite is. As I posted, I watched the entire press conference so I know what he said before and what he said after that comment.
Nobody made Trump 'look like' he was saying something that he didn't say.
Lastly, here's the context. This is a guy who referred to the virus as a hoax and who also gives himself a '10' for his 'handling' of the crisis.
An intelligent man would say I think we've done a lot right, but there is room to do more. So I give myself an '8'. I wouldn't agree, but I wouldn't facepalm either.
His default mode of self-aggrandizing AND never admitting he is wrong about anything ARE what constitute not taking responsibility.
The real stretch here is to claim he was taken out of context.
