We each choose to think about these circumstances through our own lens of experience.
Joe has lied to us...AGAIN! Joe doesn’t update us enough! The news changes from one update to another! Maybe Joe should wait to update us rather than having to amend/change his guidance because suddenly things have changed. Really, we need new management!
This is, of course, one way to look at this newly re-minted enterprise.
No doubt it can be frustrating to shareholders and, not unexpectedly, to management who encounter unanticipated stops, starts, bumps in the road, flat tires, and having to continually readjust their own informed timelines, expectations etc. but they live with it. It’s a moving target. What choice do they have?
My take: we’ll see substantive evidence by the end of the summer. I’ll be very surprised if things line up in a significant way before that...although I’m betting that the spin out will take place in the next 45 days. Will I be delighted if it happens sooner? Of course. But what the heck is 45 or 60 or 90 days when we’ve been waiting 15 years for this ship to come in.
