Good morning y'all. Today is World Poetry Day and with that in mind I thought that I would share with you a poem written by a very handsome tabby cat, Pickett, for his Mom, aka Dainty Darling Dove, over ten years back. Pickett did get some a little bit of help from his two brothers, Koba and Sherman.
Pickett was a very talented boy and left his Mom with an entire book of poetry and stories before he departed this life in Dec. 2013.

For Mom's Birthday
We love our Mom so very much
She's quite the groovy chick
She's nothing like our mean old Dad
Who's somewhat of a hick
She feeds us every day with care
She pats our butts, she combs our hair
She makes sure our water is as fresh as can be
She cleans out the box in which we pee
She gives us a lap so cuddly and warm
With her around we can face any storm
Her touch is so special, precious, and sweet
Being her cat is really a treat
Happy Birthday Mom...We Love You
