We are headed towards a complete martial law as we are already in a soft one by many States. If this continues I doubt the majority of people will have any money to buy kits.
Getting one million dollars is peanuts, and as of today, the Company claims they only have received $500,000.00. Some of the claims made by the Company are ridiculous. Roche, for example, could only commit to delivering 400.000 testing kits despite working on this for months, Roche has high volume manufacturing plants. Looking back at prior manufacturing capabilities regarding the Diabetic devices one would think the claims were exaggerated, although the demand never materialized for the diabetic strips.
It will be interesting to see if our government, or any government, approves funding grants to this small company because I am in the camp that larger established companies will reap those benefits. If the technology proves out and there is decent production I can see some type of partnership with a Big Pharma. I can also visualize a big pharma going to the Korean contractor and buying out plant capacity for the next few years whereby crippling this Company.
my red flag from the press release has nothing to do with where this test is validated, but the wording that this device is only a "concept" at this point puts it in a category of a new drug that has not undergone any trials. I don't investors understand that because of exactly what you have pointed out, exaggeration or grandstanding. One thing is for sure, test kits that deliver accurate readings are needed very badly.
