Some were complaining VERB wasn't doing enough marketing and now you're complaining about a $10 lunch?
Guess what, sales and marketing cost money
In the old days, like a month or two ago, companies spent money on planes and hotels. They spent money taking customers out to lunch or dinner. They spent money ordering in food for meetings.
The meeting isn't for new investors, traders, etc.
It's a sales meeting for customers
Customers that have a company and spend money on software tools
Names, phone numbers addresses will be collected
Companies names and attendees may even appear on the screen. Who knows.
If they have 100 potential or existing customers on the call and 1/2 of them even take VERB up on the lunch
50 * $10 = $500
Big deal
Customer acquisition cost $10-$25 would be super cheap
Pretty dam clever. Likely other companies will copy the idea
