There have been articles and PR of other scientists reaching over 20 percent efficiency with Perovskite QDSC, but all are nowhere near commercial production. QMC through licensee Amtronics India and the Qamronics JV with AMTRON is actually building the first QDSC Plant. QMC has never released public QDSC efficiency rates. The licence and royalties contract specified 15 percent efficiency must be reached after a certain amount of time or there would be a reduced royalties rate. QMC Perovskite QD are superior QD. Made by an automated process they are very uniform in size and environmentally resistant to air, moisture. and heat. This was accomplished more than 5 years ago. I would be surprised if QMC could not make the efficiency goal from the start.
QMC developed and perfected their QD before these universities running PR on lab results to raise some funding money for further R&D. QMC Cofounder Dr Ghassan Jabbour has run and started research facilities for flexible displays, solar cells QD Printing and all kinds of renewable energy. He is a Fellow of the EOS, with many other honors, among the most cited in his field, and with multiple patents.
