Once good results in patients is shown, there will be huge headlines about how a possible solution to the death % with this disease. I don't think average public is fearful of the virus other than it's potential to kill at risk people and the unknown of how they might spread it to those that are high risk. Once we have a solution that can treat the at-risk people, this becomes a much more manageable virus.
This is why the FDA will be too slow and the IND trial will be late to the party, the emergency use that is being requested will get into patients much faster. Nader's comments about this lead me to believe doctors are asking for Leronlimab now, Cytodyn is not just offering and hoping. We could see results as early as next week.
The media does not care what the protocal is from the FDA for an actual trial, they want to interview a patient who was on or was going to be on a ventilator but received this wonder drug and is now recovering. this will be good news beyond any financial bailout or curve flattening chart could measure up to.
