The B. Smith and 'Thank You Dan' Show, a daily, three-hour show hosted by the husband-and-wife team, will launch Monday, February 11 from 3:00 pm ET to 6:00 pm ET on SiriusXM Urban View, formerly The Power, channel 128.
B. and Dan invite listeners to join in on their daily conversations about healthy living, food, entertaining, succeeding in business, as well as sharing their secrets to a successful relationship.
Drawing from her years that began as one of the first black models to grace the cover of a national women's magazine, to her entrepreneurial ventures in lifestyle products, publishing, restaurants and television, B. Smith will use her experience and perspective to inspire SiriusXM listeners nationwide. The launch of The B. Smith and 'Thank You Dan' Show marks her first time as a radio host.
"B. Smith has inspired so many by breaking new ground time and time again. Today we are thrilled that The B. Smith and 'Thank You Dan' Show will bring B. Smith and Dan to radio for the first time, with a brand-new format that creates an on-air environment as welcoming and intimate as their home, and as inspirational and motivating as their life," said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, SiriusXM. "We expect the new show to become a must-listen daily pleasure for legions of B. Smith fans and brand new listeners."
"Dan and I are looking forward to being back on the air again-especially since this time my husband will be stepping out from behind the scenes," said B. Smith, Chief Creative Officer, B. Smith Enterprises. "While I will be spicing up the airways with conversation about food, fashion, fun and how to do it all with style, expect Dan to be full of surprises. Our interests range from politics to the state of small businesses and the need for mentorship of people of diverse cultures. But, we'll also keep it fun and even comment on who said what on The Voice last night. Rest assured this will be like no other show on SiriusXM!"
B. Smith is a restaurateur, author and pioneering cross-cultural lifestyle expert and the first African-American woman to have a national lifestyle brand, be named to the board of directors of the Culinary Institute of America and have a nationally syndicated television lifestyle show. Most recently, B. Smith was inducted into the American Chef Corps, the official network of chefs from across the country who have agreed to serve as resources to the Department of State assisting in the preparation of meals for foreign leaders, and participating in public diplomacy programs that engage foreign audiences. Her husband and partner, television veteran Dan Gasby, is Chairman of B. Smith Enterprises.
On SiriusXM Urban View, formerly The Power, B. Smith joins Joe Madison, Al Sharpton, and other channel hosts as they offer listeners conversations about lifestyle, social, political, and economic issues from the African American perspective.
