To add to that, the world has been turned upside down in the last few weeks beyond any one company or agency's control. In MD, where the FDA is headquartered, there are mandatory school closures for the foreseeable future. My friends who work for other government entities in that area are all dealing with child care issues and scrambling to figure out how to work remotely (many of these workers have never worked remotely before and are encountering all sorts of IT related issues). I would guess the FDA employees are doing the exact same thing. Any resources they do have are probably being focused primarily on coronavirus as that is their bosses highest priority task.
We are a resilient bunch, but we need time to adapt to the new normal!
