Drfeelgood - I am board eligible pediatrician and board certified dermatologist , but I did my part of emergency situations , and I am from medical family with different specialties , and my best friends are physicians , mostly in Central NJ , doing work also in NYC , where I finished both of my specialties...
And my best friend daughter is emergency room physician in one of University Hospital in Philadelphia ...
No , this is not a flu , this is new zoonotic coronavirus , we hoping it will pass fast , but NO ONE knows ,,,
Panic is not a way out , but also is not an ignorance , people who are dying here , dying really bad way and fast. Now they saying about 3.5 % , Italy I think 3.8
And some who survive may have permanent lung damage...even brain damage due to anoxia.
I dont know if you were a physician when SARS came 2002 , I was , in NJ and NYC...
They said mortality about 3 % , but I am sure you know , that numbers are more accurate after epidemic is over ... please check numbers now..
And flu , I thought that mortality is 0.5% but Dr Fauci said today 0.01
IMO , people should not panic , but for some time do change their way of living little...
And then we may finish with this problem faster...
