Yes, very sad indeed! First I thought Brother Jim was busy and would get back to me when he could. Then poster erieshore pinged me wondering if I heard from Jim lately since erie had not either. I looked back thru my emails, Jim’s last posts (9 DEC), emailed and PM again with no replies. I did some searching since I knew where Jim lived and his first/last name. My last search was obit for Jim/area lived -- my heart just dropped and overwhelming of sadness hit me hard! Thank you for reaching out to the funeral home to confirm things CJ!
My deepest condolences to Jim’s family! If Jim’s bother reads the hangout message board by chance, please PM me when you have time Sir.
I really liked his no nonsense style with facts and AWESOME video clips! We exchanged PM’s in the beginning/2016 chatting about SFOR, then changed up to emails. Jim’s very smart talented man and will be missed deeply by so many for sure! Along with SFOR/Investing we had things in common and I was looking forward to meeting him in person this year during the summer. Since I have been OCONUS we had not met in person, but stayed in touch over the years. I was unsure exactly when, but Jim said no worries, just let him know – we will do a Cape/KSC visit, fishing and throw back some cold ones. He’s also a MIL/Veteran and was in the USAF before his civilian career and retired after long tenure at the Cape. Florida is top of my list for CONUS relocation and had been thinking of Brother Jim’s area, which I was going to check-out this summer. I will still go and pay my respects to Brother Jim!!
I think he would want us to cheers/celebrate his life and not to be sad! Unfortunately my first meet in person will not take place with our temporary life in this crazy world we live, but I will in our permanent Eternal life – so until then Jim….Cheers Brother!
