Hello, Joe,
There is some information swirling about that NGIO div shares will not be given for GNBT shares bought between the 2/17 Record Date and the 2/24 Pay Date.
I understand you have your safe harbor statements in place, etc. But the truth of the matter is that you made numerous statements on conference calls, in PRs, etc. that anyone buying thru the Pay Date would get "the dividends". Your statements about the Due Bill process were always blanket statements. Never did you separate the NGIO div from the GNBT div in any way.
Also, many of us have done MUCH DD looking into how special dividends work. We have never found any indication of a difference in the treatment of these two dividends.
If this new information is true, I will miss out on 5,292 shares of NGIO from the 13,230 shares of GNBT that I bought during the period in question. That is extremely significant to me.
Joe, many of the people who will suffer from this are long-standing shareholders who have done as much as we can to support you and GNBT through this vital period in Generex's re-development. I sincerely hope this apparent shortcoming is simply a misunderstanding. If it is not, I urge you to protect your loyal shareholders and do what is right. We deserve these dividends, regardless of any safe harbor statements. So I hope you will do what is right, not what the lawyers say you can do.
Just a quick analysis: 1.54MM shares traded over this period. So we are talking about 616k shares of NGIO. I realize this may seem like a significant number. But I would not think that now is the time to lose the loyalty of your shareholders over something like this, as these shares are HIGHLY significant to us.
Thanks for your efforts to make this right,
