Today's PR
VERB Technology Company, Inc. (NASDAQ: VERB) ("VERB" or the "Company", a leader in business-focused interactive video Webinar, CRM, marketing, and sales enablement applications,
Love how interactive video Webinar is first and center
As I've said yesterday and for the last year or two. Most tech companies use funding to grow and there are few exceptions.
Most companies that are growing are cash flow negative because they are trying to rapidly grow. If they didn't, there would be something really wrong.
I do know of one company after they were funded a lot, became profitably quickly.
Guess which one?
Zoom a company in the webinar business
Remember they only went public last year so don't have a lot quarters to show, but this is what they said in June...
"Free cash flow was positive $15.3 million, compared to negative $1.1 million in the first quarter of fiscal 2019."
Yup, they went from negative to positive in a hurry
Do you know why?
Video Webinar and video conferencing are highly profitable
More than most things
What happened next quarter with them?
In Q3 [fiscal 2020], free cash flow was $55 million, up from $10 million, or 440% year-over-year growth.
Dang, that is some growth
Yup, today was the one two three punch of PRs.
Not only does VERB have 1 million users which is a lot more than some other well known SaaS companies
Not only are they launching video webinar which is highly profitable, but the first company to do so with interactivity
But they figured out a way to monitize that user base.
Point out some other companies that are not only getting revenue from their corporate customers, but from the end users as well
I am going through the list of companies in my head, Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, Salesforce, Hotspot.... I could keep going, but none of them can sell directly to company employees like this
If I am using Microsoft O365, Teams are whatever, I can't just decide on my own to upgrade. Can't do it. I would need approval.
Whoever invested in this latest round of funding, with no warrants, with no fees likely already understand what I just pointed out
Two viable ways to bring in revenue translates to increasing how fast you can grow each year.
