When you have a lot of money, it's easy to hire people to do the humdrum tasks in life for you.
I agree that Doc will probably take a less energetic role in the Conglomerate once things get rolling. But Doc has a lot in store for the future and he will likely be in a position where he can get his work done, while not having to run for the corporate version of milk and bread every time he turns around.
I'm sure Doc wants to enjoy time with his family and take personal time away from work just like everyone else does. So I'm sure he has his plans all laid out to get himself and this conglomerate where he wants them to be, while still having a life of his own.
