MMPJOE, a few constructive thoughts on the relatio
Post# of 36536
1) This board is NOT the Yahoo Message board. The vast majority of the posters here are 100% wanting to see success for you and Generex. Yes, that includes Docj as well.
While there may be an occasional snarky post that you find offensive, if you click on any of our names and read a bunch of posts by any one individual, you will see that we are just trying to sort through the complex world of Generex and watch over our investments. And from time to time there is skepticism or frustration. That is acceptable, if expressed respectfully, and that is how we try to keep it.
A few digs every now and then slip out, but don't waste energy screaming at the choir. We are on your team, Joe.
2) I posted an analogy here a while ago about your GNBT knowledge vs. ours. I'll throw out another.
Imagine you are a Calculus professor at a university that has decided to go teach 4th grade math. There is so much knowledge in your head that you can't imagine how little your students know or remember what it was like to learn multiplication and division. And while you are teaching these simple topics, your head is swimming with all the advanced topics you'd like your students to learn, the advanced applications for them, etc.
Similarly, you have all the details of all things Generex in your head. I can certainly understand that you could get frustrated with us. Most of us simply don't have as much knowledge and understanding of the details of filings, listing requirements, market makers, various capital vehicles, company structures, and, of course, Generex in our heads.
On top of that, there is simply so much to absorb and keep straight, and there are many things you can't reveal to us, especially in a place like this or at a time that we'd like to know it.
But we sure are putting in an effort, and being here exchanging thoughts is one of the ways we do that. Please try to keep that in mind.
3) Things change, and we don't always receive/process/remember the latest info. I think the S-1 MIGHT be a good example. Our collective understanding of the process for raising the $40MM before the last conference call was that the S-1 could be priced at any time (after all approvals), using the share price from 5 consecutive trading days chosen by you; but the catch was that the 5 days you chose would be used for the entire $40MM. It was a one-shot deal.
That has been the source of much stress with this group, as it has seemed to us that you would not be able to pull a single cent out until there was a 5-day share price stretch that would make sense to raise the entire $40MM. It seemed like such a time was pretty far off, and we would be caught between massive dilution and a long timeline.
On the last call, you made it clear that the $40MM would act more like a line of credit. So you could pull part of it out soon, get the wheels turning a little more, pull more out later when the share price is more favorable, repeat as necessary...
What a revelation! I think there was a collective sigh here when that was understood.
As I said this MIGHT be an example of point #3... I believe this is a change from the way the S-1 was set up originally. Maybe I'm wrong. If that isn't the case, then it is an example of point #2: This knowledge was in your head as a basic assumption of how this funding would work, so it was never conveyed to us explicitly.
Either way, none of us understood until the last call that this was how the funding would work, but we are VERY excited to gain that understanding.
Anyway, we do appreciate the hard work you and all the Generex team have been doing. Most of us feel like we are very close to seeing your plan come together, and we are excited to see how it all plays out in the next month or two. If all goes well during that time period, a lot of stress will hopefully come off your shoulders... and ours as well.
We wish you luck putting the final pieces of this phase together, and we welcome you to come back and have meaningful conversations if you think you can add to them in this unofficial forum.
Thanks, Joe! Have a great week!
