With AS, the hope is they will exercise their right to match any deal on B-UC. It allows Leo to negotiate any deal and then have AS say they will match it. This allows Leo to go back to the other pharma and have a bidding war up to the limit AS is willing to pay. Hopefully, for B-UC, the price will ultimately be out of the range of what AS can pay for it.
