What an absolute shame! There isn't anything wrong with the product so far as I can tell. It was absolutely revolutionary when David launched it years ago. There was nothing even close to UltraFlix anywhere on the market. Nanotech had a nice chunk of the 4K market virtually within its grasp. We were poised for tremendous market growth with 4K flat panels all the rage. The problem is that when you're a tiny start up, dealing in the highly competitive tech space competing against monster companies with deep pockets, you have a narrow window of opportunity to seize the moment and fully bring your product to market. Sadly, that window of opportunity is now the size of a pinhole. I don't doubt for a minute management's initial plans were in line with investors expectations but the delays, lack of funding followed by deception as they tried in vain to hold it together, has led NTEK to where it is today. It was like holding a pot gold in your hands only to watch turn to sand and slip through our fingers.
I sure hope one day NTEK can make something of itself and maybe it will but as the months and years pass by it doesn't get any easier, only significantly more difficult. Maybe 8K will be what saves UltraFlix but how likely is it for people who have already spent thousands on 4K sets to ditch them for a much more expensive 8K panel or if 8K will even become mainstream? Will funding finally come through or are we poised for more sand?
