Youngevity International (NASDAQ: YGYI), a multi-channel lifestyle company operating in three distinct business segments, including a commercial coffee enterprise and its newly acquired commercial hemp enterprise, today announced the reshaping of its Board of Directors. According to the update, effective February 11, 2020, in order to maintain compliance with The Nasdaq Capital Market’s corporate governance requirements and, specifically, Listing Rule 5605(b) which provides that a listed company’s board of directors shall be comprised of a majority of independent directors, Michelle Wallach and Richard Renton, two non-independent members of the Board of Directors of YGYI resigned as members of the Board of Directors of the company. Youngevity International CEO Steve Wallach will continue as a board member and will remain the Chairman of the Board and Youngevity President and CFO Dave Briskie will also remain on the Board of Directors. “Compliance with Nasdaq Corporate Governance requirements remains of utmost importance to our company and this will continue as a high priority for the company,” Youngevity CEO Steve Wallach said in the news release.
