Hold on there, my friend. 1 in every 40 dying is MEANINGLESS unless you understand WHO those people are. Are they normal, healthy people? NOT GENERALLY, NO! They are the very old, the very young, and those with compromised immune systems. That is VERY important to know. Not to upset Misiu, but the flu kills the same people, and this year, in the US alone, 60,000 PEOPLE WILL DIE of the the flu. Will that many die of corona? We shall see. I hope not.
The above being said, the "rate of death" is important to know in terms of the population, not just the numbers. I know, this is hard for many to comprehend. But it is a FACT. The thought about leronlimab is that it is not a vaccine, but more of a cure, at least that is my understanding, but even so, those who are already compromised may not be able to be saved, just like with the flu vaccine in the United States.
Overall, of course I wish it could save everyone, but NOTHING saves everyone.
