Used to assist in creating MAbs in college. moderately challenging to introduce epitiopes of CCR5 in mice and create hybridomas to produce the Abs in tissue culture. Then test for specificity by ELIZA, Western Blot, and immunohistochemistry.
The Chinese will be able to reverse engineer it. That being said, they will do it anyway so an official agreement with large upfront payment as well as a sales percentage is still a good thing to do IMO. At least this way, CYDY will get meaningful revenue from it and maybe permanently end fundraising. One the key parts of the trade deal part one that was just signed recently by the Trump Administration includes IP enforcement so this bodes in our favor.
Also, it will be illegal for China to sell leronlimab to other first world countries. Will a black market exist? Probably.
