He could have been charged with obstruction of Congress if he didn't answer to the house subpoenas, but they never issued any. And as we all know by watching events unfold in real time, the House never allowed a fair trial to begin with. Completely unconstitutional and treasonous.
He never asked a foreign government to dig up dirt on a political opponent. He did question corruption though, something he is required to do by law.
