I may have mentioned this before and think it is no harm to mention again.
The financial market is not a free market but teemed with large sharks.
One of my retired friends is a scientist retired from Bxxxxxxx which is the largest R& D institution in the world and because it is non-profit, it can afford to pay premium pay to recruit top scientists among the top US universities and it manages the largest 7 largest federal labs.
My friend told me a true story :
a former co-worker who is a very brilliant research scientist had a great idea
so he left his job and used all his life savings to found a tiny biotech co.
Not knowing large sharks were watching and borrowed heavily from them.
Products of the tiny bio-tech finally got into the market and became popular.
A few years later her brilliant scientist friend was forced out and the co taken over., and had no choice but returned to teach in college.
End of a true story. This happens everyday in Wall Street.
