An issue was just brought to my attention. It was me and me alone that deleted posts last night. I will delete posts of arguments that are off-topic, for example political in nature, or not so important a topic that most would prefer to not have read the argument over having the answer found. I will delete posts that I feel are condescending to people seeking answers as I want this board to be warm, open, and inviting. I believe it is possible to have that environment and also have posts with disagreeing/debating points of view, if done in a manner that is constructive, not those that become degrading, name calling, etc.
At the same time, we want to have a board that people feel comfortable asking questions or concerns about the company. From the nickname the haters of this board give, 'happy board', apparently they don't think it is possible to have both a warm environment and a critical environment, but I do.
