IMO they have suitors, LW established a fair value of the asset with those suitors (possibly at the JPM conference - advanced partnering engagement meetings) and LW is needed to negotiate a license - wise thing to leave it in the hands of experts who make certain everything is done correctly.
You bring LW into the picture if parties have agreed to negotiate on the asset - comfortable with license terms being offered.
