All across the US in almost every town and city, the mailmen walk every block, right up to the front door and deposit mail in a door slot or a mailbox next to the door. This is a tremendous waste of time and money. The routes should be replaced with a rack of P. O. Boxes. Provides fast and efficient mail delivery, gets the homeowner to walk a bit getting exercise and helps him meet his neighbors.
