I wanted to add my two cents on NP/presentation skills.
My issue has never been his accent. It hasn't even REALLY been the fact that he is an ESL speaker and sometimes confuses tenses/conjugations/etc. No judgment on my part.
My issue has been that his presentation style tends to require a good deal of background knowledge about CYDY and the science on the part of the listener, and, lacking that, the listener can get lost pretty quickly.
Trding, I think this goes to your point of NP doing better in long presentations where he has time to lay it all out.
