I Experienced a similar episode you described with Fidelity a couple of months ago and was successful in getting it resolved. My suggestion is that you contact Mr. Mullholland at CytoDyn or someone at investor relations. They contacted Fidelity for me and provided the necessary documentation to get the matter resolved with in two days.
A more extreme route I considered is demanding Fidelity to mail me my stock certificates for all the shares I have listed in my account, and then deposit the certificates into an alternative brokerage house.
