The La Planada 100% owned Gold Project is situated in the heart of one of Colombia's premier underdeveloped gold districts. La Planada is located approximately 80 km from Pasto, the capital city of the Nariño Province providing ample infrastructure to support mine exploration and operations. High grade gold veins have been mined historically at La Planada. La Planada has excellent rock exposure for open pit mining. Numerous workings at various elevations exist on the property, which can be traced from one elevation to another. The property has excellent surface exposure and highly visible surface mineralization. Five sets of veinlets crosscut vein zones. The principal veins range between 0.4 meters to 2 meters in width, with additional veins ranging 3 to 20 cm in width and occurring every 1 to 2 meters.
La Planada Phase 1 Sampling Results
The Phase 1 sampling program focused on systematic channel and chip sampling of 3 crosscutting vein sets, mixed vein and wall rock, and the host rock exposed throughout the property. La Planada has excellent rock exposure allowing samples to be taken in all areas of the project. Mineral Primecap Geological services (MPGS) directed and oversaw the sampling program. The samples were assayed at the labs of INSPECTORATE AMERICA CORPORATION (Inspectorate) in Nevada, USA.
Initial phase one sampling returned excellent results. (Au ~ Gold):
• The 3 principal vein samples ranged up to 117.9g/tonne Au and averaged 15.1 g/tonne Au.
• The mixed vein and wall rock samples ranged up to 10.7g/tonne Au and averaged 3.06 g/tonne Au.
• The host rock samples ranged up to 7.9g/tonne Au and averaged 0.88 g/tonne Au.
Assuming Phase II sampling continues to produce gold grades of 1.5 to 4 g/tonne and a drill program confirms continuity of mineralization to a depth of 200m, the entire block could be mined and processed. A block 200m deep by 300m wide by 400 m long, with an average density of 2.45 grams per tonne would produce 59 million tonnes of ore with a cut-off grade of 1.5g/tonne gold. That translates to over 3,150,000 troy ounces of gold.
