If something comes out of this conference, people don't just shake hands and say "send out a PR with the good news." It could easily take weeks or months for a signed deal to be negotiated and finalized. Ever dealt with a bureaucracy like a big pharma? Things always take much longer than reasonable people would think they should.
Sure, there could be a press release this week. There could also be a landing of space aliens. Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny might get married. Who knows what could happen? But do NOT set up an expectation of big news immediately, because that is unlikely.
Wouldn't you rather have a deal signed, sealed, and delivered, rather than an announcement that they're working on one?
