I read in the 10-q that the company hired Ms Maura Fleming. In doing some background research, she’s a “corporate transactional attorney”. Specializing in corporate governance, technology transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and public offerings. She’s also done contract negotiations, investor relations & reporting.
Doubters should ask themselves, why would they bring an attorney into the fold and pay her a base salary of $200k, plus bonuses and stock, if her specific services weren’t needed on a very regular basis. Otherwise they could’ve had an attorney with these skills on retainer and pay for services used.
IMO, Multiple deals are being negotiated, drafted and reviewed so much so, that they had to make the hire to keep ahead of the game. Exciting times!
