just, before I start and you question it, I am a GNBT shareholder for more than a decade, have never sold a single share so far and currently hold a six figure number of GNBT shares, and BTW I am from Germany, which is why I am writing in the "middle of the night", your time.
So I am a truly committed shareholder and similar as Buildit stated before, in the last several months have spent countless hours, especially on the YMB message board, to help in the battle against all the negative posters on there.
All that said, here is my honest and constructive opinion and advice to you.
1) We all constantly read in almost every of your PRs or on CCs how much you value us, your loyal shareholders. But I have to admit that I see a big difference between what you say/write and what I read on here and how you deal with constructive criticism. The way you respond to comments on here is often times inappropriate, to say the least. So my advice in this regard is, start treating us here with more respect, I think we all deserve it. And instead of getting upset and call us names, take our words seriously and see what you can do to improve.
2) You brag so much about the fact that no other company is so transparent as GNBT and gives out so much information via PRs and holds so many CCs. The latter might be true regarding the number of PRs and CCs, but the quality of the information surely needs a significant improvement or even total makeover.
2a) Talking about PRs, they may be many in number, but I have seldomly received a single one, that I immediately thought that I have received all the important information on the subject of. You are quoted in such very often about how excited you are to close another deal or whatever, but what is most of the time missing for me, as the reader, are the hard facts as to why I, as a shareholder, should be excited. The question about what impact the announcement has for the company is missing regularly. It is good and important that you are excited, but real transparency would mean that you let us in on your excitement.
2b) Very often the important financial aspects of a deal are missing along with your insights why you think this is a good deal and how much return on investment you project to receive out of this. It's not as if at least the first part is a secret, as we very often can read it out of required 8k (or alike) filings. But why do I have to dig deep into such filings to extract such information and not be presented with them directly in the PR along with the company's thoughts about them. You leave all these interpretations to ourselves and when we afterwards ask these questions on here you point out that this is non public information and you cannot answer such specific questions. Well, you wouldn't even need to if only you would have answered such easily anticipateble questions in your PR directly.
3) Talking about your projected time lines. You seem to always be overly optimistic about your predictions, telling us that something is supposed to get done, be publicly announced or filed by e.g. "the end of next week" or "within the next ten days". If you refer to a number of days, are you talking about calendar or trading/business days? Be honest with yourself, how often have you finally delivered on time as you initially promised to us? I would say, "rarely" and I get it, thinks get in the way. I am a project manager by profession and dealing with adversities is my daily job, but I am asked as well when I'd expect for stuff to get done and I learned my lesson to add a little buffer to such predictions, and they get bigger the more external resources are involved. Please learn your lesson and make more reliable predictions to us. This how you gain your shareholdeers' trust. Thanks!
3a) In case you still run into something unexpected and in the future, you may again not be able to deliver according the promised time line, please proactively address it and tell us what is going on and why it is not delivered in time. Good and most recent example is the Altucell deal. In my view, it has nothing to do with transparency that we are left in the dark about the current status of this acquisition. Is it now canceled, because we have not heard about the the closure of the deal or have you agreed upon another extension?
In general and to not make this message any longer, I think that GNBT needs an entire makeover of the investor relations management. Your personal communication as well as official company's IR needs to drastically improve on all levels. The quality of it definitely is not good and has very little to do with the pure number of PRs you put out or the fact to hold a CC every month or two alone.
Just my thoughts, which I hope you will read in full and take as constructive criticism.
Have a great weekend and I am looking forward to a great year for GNBT.
