Nah if it goes ex-div 1/6 you should be able to sell then. The idea is if you sell at the uncorrected price 1/3, you don’t keep the div; if you sell at ex-div price you keep the dividend to equal the value you had before ex-div drop. If shares were a dollar you could sell 1000 on 1/3 for $1000. If you sell 1/6 you could sell 1400 for $1000 @ ~$.7143. A divi in of itself isn’t supposed to change anything. The issue at hand here is NGIO. If you sell 1/3 you wouldn’t get it, if you sell 1/6 you should. This is how it should be, as far as what actually happens who knows. Happy holidays all.
