I need the weekend to find a strategy how to move forward. I'm up 197% and I am absolutely torn between taking profits (selling 10%, a third or half of my stake) and sitting tight.
Two things to ask yourself -
Is this stock going to crash and wipe out my gains?
I can see a slight retraction until new news bolsters it. The blast off far exceeded my expectations so I won't hazard a guess as to whether the retraction is from this price point or whether it goes higher first.
Is this stock going to return a better ROI than something else I could be invested in?
It looks like we now have the eyes of traders and biopharma investors on us even if we haven't made an impact on the wider investing community yet. With that notice catalysts will actually move the stock price up and we have a lot of major catalysts moving forward.
Maybe you'll run across a stock that has a high assurance of hitting 8x - 10x returns within the next year (6x-10x from our current price). I haven't and those are as rare as hen's teeth. If we get BLA submission for mTNBC that 6x - 10x out the window. This stock will rattle the windows when it takes off.
You may want to play it safe and sell off enough to cover your initial investment, which is the safe and conservative thing to do, But you'll end up leaving money on the table near term and huge chunks of money long term.
Personally I won't be looking to divest any shares until $25 and won't seriously look until $50. Even then I'll keep most here. The problem I see in the pharma, small biopharma sector going forward is that leronlimab is going to take over such a broad swath of the space that finding something that doesn't compete or will beat it becomes much harder.
