I used to get money for christmas when I was a kid. In more recent years though, it was either me giving someone else money, me spending a bunch of money, or both. I stopped giving and receiving gifts years ago. This year I bought a farm raised turkey and cooked dinner for some close friends. Being able cook for people I'm close to is more important to me than any of that material stuff that gets passed back and forth this time of year.
