Donald Trump hasn’t had hardly anything to say on Twitter since embarking on his Florida holiday vacation. But what he’s lacked in voluminousness, he’s made up for in worsening idiocy. Trump gave a speech to a conservative group in Florida this weekend, and he decided to begin attacking wind power. The trouble for Trump is that it came out like this:
“I never understood wind. I know windmills very much. I’ve studied it better than anybody. I know it’s very expensive. Tremendous fumes. Gases are spewing into the atmosphere. You know we have a world, right? So, the world is tiny compared to the universe.”
No really, Trump said this. There’s video. We’re not even sure where to start. “I never understood wind” is one of the dumbest phrases that any U.S. President has ever spoken. “I know windmills very much” is something a child would say. “I’ve studied it better than anybody” is a weird thing to say after he just admitted he doesn’t understand the topic. “Gases are spewing into the atmosphere” is obviously a lie. “You know we have a world” is just plain weird. “The world is tiny compared to the universe” is, well, we really don’t have any idea what’s going on here at this point.
Donald Trump is clearly gone with the wind, in more ways than one.
Impeachment has shattered whatever might have been left of his psychological makeup. Also, “I never understood wind” is an odd thing to say for a guy who’s full of hot air.
