The health sector in India has made a lot of progress over the past decade. Average life expectancy has increased and infant mortality rates have declined. India has eradicated many diseases. Improper nutrition, environmental changes, a spike in air pollution and dietary factors can all make us sick and feel unwell sometimes. Going to the best doctor in Pune when we feel unwell can prevent serious illnesses.

Top health problems in India are:-

Ischemic heart disease is also known as coronary heart disease or coronary artery disease involves the blockage or narrowing of coronary arteries. It is caused because of the buildup cholesterol and fatty deposits (plaque) in the arteries. Ischemic is described as “cramping of the heart”. The condition occurs when the narrowed artery cannot supply enough oxygen-rich blood to the heart. When the heart muscles receive inadequate oxygen, ischemia occurs and you may feel chest pains or other symptoms. It is the most common cardiovascular disease. Symptoms include chest pains or discomfort which travels from the shoulder, arm, back or jaw.
Regular blood tests at home can help the doctor ascertain if you at a higher risk of coronary heart disease.

Chronic Obstructructive Pulmonary Heart Disease (COPD) is used to describe progressive lung diseases including emphysema, chronic bronchitis, and non-reversible asthma. Increased breathlessness characterizes COPD. Other symptoms of the disease include frequent cough (with or without mucus), wheezing, increased shortness of breath, and tightness in the chest.

COPD is a progressive disease and is incurable. With the right treatment and diagnosis, the disease can be managed. COPD can be caused by inhaling pollution or smoking, genetics or being exposed to lung irritants.

Stroke can occur when blood vessels in the brain bleed because of rupture or blood supply to the brain gets blocked. The loss of blood to the brain damages brain cells. Women are at a higher risk of a stroke than men. There are three main types of stroke - transient ischemic attack (TIA), ischemic stroke, and hemorrhagic stroke.

Symptoms of the stroke show up in the body part controlled by the damaged area. Symptoms of stroke include paralysis, numbness or weakness to limbs especially on one side of the body, trouble speaking or slurred speech, vision problems, etc. Stroke requires immediate medical attention. An unhealthy diet, inactivity, smoking, and excessive alcohol consumption can increase the risk of stroke. Stroke patients now have the option to order medicines online in the comfort of their homes.

Diarrheal disease is a collection of diseases caused due to viral, bacterial or parasitic infections that cause the symptom of diarrhea. Diarrhea is the passing loose and watery stool three or more times a day. It can range from mild, temporary to a potentially life-threatening condition. Diarrhea is the leading cause of death for children below 5 years. Inflammatory bowel diseases can cause diarrhea. Diarrhea is caused due to an infection in the gastrointestinal tract. Safe drinking water, hygiene, and proper sanitation can prevent diarrhea. Diagnostic labs in Pune can carry out tests on your stool sample to help the doctor map a treatment plan.

Lower respiratory infection is any infection in the lungs. Bronchitis, pneumonia, and tuberculosis are types of lower respiratory infections. Symptoms of the infection can vary depending on the severity of the infection. Coughing is the primary symptom of lower respiratory infection and may include flu-like symptoms. Infection can be because of viral, bacterial, fungal, or mycoplasma infection.
