I think we are reading too much into what this could mean, it is most reasonable to think it could be for very simple reasons. I think for the past few months there have been many conversations over possible deals from many different parties for different incantations. These opportunities likely have many conflicting situations with other opportunities and it could very well be one deal could ruin another deal. This hiv deal might have been great up until another deal that is not only better but different, comparing deals apples to apples is impossible.

Nader looks to be trying to keep us up to date but cant really talk specifics on deals that are still in the formation phase. Nader has always said he will keep us informed and hold out for the best deals. That could be exactly what is going on. Conspiracy theory are usually built on imagination and not just looking at the simple and most boring possibility.
