If you could see my portfolio, you would see about 6 plays that I got stuck with. Either at No Bid now, or shut down. But, I've learned, and am still learning.

It is the role and function of the CEO to build value into his company and thusly, into the share value. No amount of board posting or shareholder cheerleading can influence that. Regardless of the intentions or valiant efforts of board posters, it comes down to the CEO and his ability to drive his company and also to clearly communicate that to the investing public, his current shareholders firstly.
