Hey, been there done that. Too many times over. After a dozen times or so, you start to learn your lesson.
Hold what you know, know what you hold. As soon as, AGAIN I SAY: AS SOON AS, what you know (or thought you knew) changes....... get out. You can always get back in later. But don't wait around for the hope and "maybe's" to kick in.
I knew what I held (and may or may not still be holding) here. For me, something changed. I have to follow my own advice. Now, I'm waiting for something concrete to see if that thing really changed (and I was right) or did not ( and I was wrong). Dependent upon that information, and that information alone, I make my decision.
For those that feel "caught", chalk it up to your Stock 101 education. We've all been there, but we learn and we become more educated, savvy investors as we proceed.
