One of my main questions and a question always asked me by my friends when I tell them about Cytodyn is: if Cytodyn is such an amazing investment and the sciences is so spectacular why are investors like us even getting a chance at this investment, why are the venture capitalists and sophisticated investors not snapping up every share and driving the price up why is no big investment bank or investor come in and take a large position?
I don’t have a good answer for them. I don’t even understand myself? It seems to be beyond what I can comprehend!
Psychology shows that most people are risk averse. If you tell someone I'll give you a banana today or if you wait until tomorrow I'll give you two bananas, the majority will take the single banana and run.
Small investors are more likely than large "sophisticated" investors to take that gamble. A large amount of small investors have no idea how to weigh risk. Take a look at OTC gold stocks. The small investors eventually learn to shy away from OTC and large investors don't even bother.
With Cytodyn, we're on OTC, we have no revenue to base an easy judgement on, we lack funding and the level of dilution can't be definitively pinned down. Most investors would take a pass on it without doing any due diligence on the science or doing an appropriate risk assessment.
Even the very high potential is a negative to some investors. Cynicism is a product of the modern age.
