No, dividends do not work that way. You can buy a stock the day before it "goes ex-dividend" and collect the dividend. But that not relevant here IMO. Dividends are typically paid by more mature companies that don't need the capital to grow their corporations like they did in the early years. Univec conglomerate is still a growth company, in an new growth industry. Capital will be used to acquire other companies and expand our own existing companies. Some day there will be dividends, but I hope not at this stage as it would send the wrong message to the marketplace. All in my opinion.
