A lot of good insight and opinions as to limit orders (Day or GTC).
Don't forget that the sell orders create a "wall of worry" to have to climb over. Talk about stacking the ask!
I won't have any limit orders in before I know the news AND see the market reaction. If you feel you need to have a limit order in, so be it, maybe because of work or whatever. About work, anyone who goes to work on the first day of trading after the first news, needs more than financial advice. For heavens sakes call in sick, you either don't have but a few thousand shares or are not grasping the "big picture" here.
This is not a "one day wonder" sub penny stock, remember what you own or learn what you own. For most here, UNVC is going to be a life changer stock and you are setting sell points before you see what the market is willing to pay at the open, not me. Not the first day or two or three. When you have to go back to work, put in your sell orders, IMO.
We all have so much experience in sub pennies we forget UNVC is different. I won't show my hand to the Market Makers, no way. I assure you there are plenty of those that will without mine.
We all need to realize that everyone in UNVC is going to see a huge value in their account at the open, versus the day before closing price. Many investors are emotional or are married to one and there may be some excess supply until those dollars are replaced with a new cost basis. Again, UNVC is not your typical penny stock so don't make selling decisions based upon the typical penny stock rule of thumb trading strategy, IMO.
Don't make the mistake of comparing "share prices" of other pot stocks to UNVC share price. Only market capitalization comparisons are relevant. It makes no difference what price other stocks are at, only their current and past market caps. The big question is will the "market" take UNVC up to their old market cap highs or just the current MC's of our competitors. The answer is, when we get the news we will see if we even have any real direct competitors for comparison. My guess is we don't, so it could be very rewarding for those that are patient, especially in the first few trading days or week or two.
We all have to make our own decisions on when to sell, I would just encourage my fellow longs to see where the market opens and trades for a while that morning before tipping their hand to Market Makers that don't always have your best interest in hand. They want to make money too.
