The benefit of the dividend as it was structured was that coupled with the waiver and retirement of shares WE retail investors would have not only more shares but more equity. And this is why it is literally impossible to rectify.
If you cancel the dividend you have gone back on your word. People who bought in or bought more maybe wouldn’t have. People who didn’t sell maybe would have.
If you give the dividend to everyone there is increased dilution (less value per share) and equal less equity due to double shares and same less value due to more shares.
The only possible remedy i see is for CMF to be fined and/or punished including forfeiture of their remaining shares. Revisit the same terms with the remaining parties. If you have a more fair or logical solution let’s here it.
